Public Television televised this event and I happened to catch it on cable. I recorded the entire program with a Sony Betamax recorder in 1981. At some point, this cassette was recorded over for some reason and I lost all but the first half of the program which is 45 minutes and 21 seconds long.

Around 1988 (when Beta went away) I converted my Beta tape to VHS. About a year ago, I converted the VHS to DVD and voila!

All of the music on the DVD is the jazz trio with no orchestral backup.

The opening introduction to the program is a little “shaky”…
But once Dudley starts playing, the quality is NOT PERFECT, but very acceptable. It has to be…because there simply are no other tapes, film or DVD’s available showcasing the incredible talents and overall excitement of Mr. Moore’s approach to the piano.
